This is a continuing course for those ages 14+ who have a firm grasp of the basics and the topics that were covered in Adult Intermediate 201.
* Students under 18 years old must provide written permission from a parent or guardian prior to enrolling.
** Students who have not previously taken the Beginner 101 & 102 and/or Intermediate 201 class but are eligible for Adult Intermediate 202 class will be admitted on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire further here.

About the Course
Student Profile
Students ages 14+, who have:
Attended Adult Beginner 101 and 102, and Intermediate 201
A solid grasp of the Vietnamese alphabet, spelling and pronunciation, and vocabulary form 101, 102 and 201
Can speak, read, write and comprehend Vietnamese at an intermediate level
What Students Learn
Vocabulary and common phrases/slangs
Conversation: increased and consistent use of current and past vocabulary
Listening comprehension and writing short essays
Reading from book dialogues and paragraph excerpts
Class Schedule
Week 1: Introductions; Review
Weeks 2-12: Describing feelings, hobbies, habits, asking for directions, and more
Each subsequent class briefly reviews the preceding class
Each class will review common homework mistakes

Additional Details
Assessments will take the form of homework, quizzes, interactive dialogues and teamwork, and in-class participation.
Class materials include the textbook Tiếng Việt cho Người Nước Ngoài - Volume 2 (Vietnamese as a Second Language), which is provided for students. Students are expected to bring their own writing supplies, including paper, pencils, erasers, etc.
